Easterseals Alaska, Anchorage (main office)
Easterseals Alaska provides quality day habilitation services in the Anchorage bowl area. These services are available during daytime, evening, and weekend hours and are covered by private fees or Medicaid. We are licensed through the state of Alaska as a Home and Community Support Services Agency, and all of our staff have passed a criminal background check and receive ongoing training throughout the year.
Day habilitation enables clients to access the community in new and exciting ways by utilizing public transportation, grocery shopping, working out, and forming meaningful relationships with peers. This includes work, play, and recreational opportunities.
Examples of this could be:
- Learning to shop for personal items
- Personal banking
- Street crossing safety
- Public transportation travel
- Dining in public
