Day Habilitation

Easterseals Alaska provides high-quality day habilitation services throughout the Anchorage Bowl area, designed to support individuals in achieving greater independence, community involvement, and personal growth. Our services are offered during daytime, evening, and weekend hours to best meet the needs and schedules of the people we serve and their families. These services can be covered through private payment, private insurance, or Medicaid, making them accessible to a wide range of participants.

Our programs meet or exceed all state standards for safety, quality, and professionalism. Every member of our staff undergoes a comprehensive criminal background check and receives ongoing, competency-based training throughout the year. This continuous education helps our team maintain the highest level of care, skill, and compassion in every interaction.

Day habilitation offers individuals the opportunity to explore their community in new and meaningful ways. Participants engage in activities such as using public transportation, grocery shopping, exercising, volunteering, and developing friendships with peers. These experiences help clients build confidence, enhance social skills, and foster a sense of purpose and belonging.
