Employment & Job Training

The unemployment rate for people with disabilities is twice as high as for those without. Easterseals Alaska is working to change that. As a Community Rehabilitation Provider for the State of Alaska’s Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, we offer workplace behavior training, job search assistance, on-the-job coaching, and evaluations to support meaningful, long-term employment.

We know that people of all ages, with and without disabilities, can face real challenges when it comes to finding work, living independently, and staying connected in their communities. These barriers can make life harder, leading to higher unemployment, financial stress, and a lower quality of life. That’s why we believe employment is more than just a job, it’s a powerful step toward greater independence and a better future.

Our programs help the ones you care about most. These programs may be funded through Medicaid waiver, Medicaid, private insurance, or private pay.
