As Board President of Easterseals Alaska, I work alongside my fellow board members to provide strategic oversight, support community engagement, and help strengthen the organization’s presence and partnerships throughout the state. I’ve proudly served on the board for many years and am deeply committed to advancing Easterseals’ mission of providing exceptional services and advocacy for people with disabilities.
What I find most meaningful about my role is the opportunity to have input on programs that directly impact the lives of Alaskans, particularly those living with physical or intellectual disabilities. My background in media and community outreach, including many years as part of the “Mark and Selina” morning radio team, has given me valuable experience in connecting with people and amplifying important causes.
My husband, Jeff, and I moved to Anchorage in July 1990 and quickly fell in love with the community. We raised our three children here, two daughters and a son.
Early in our time here, Jeff and I ran a group home for adults with disabilities, an experience that left a lasting impression and aligns closely with Easterseals’ core values of inclusion, compassion, and empowerment.
Outside of my board work, I enjoy quilting, bag making, and traveling with my husband. Whether I’m working with fabric or exploring new places, I find joy in creativity, connection, and community, values that continue to guide my involvement with Easterseals Alaska. I feel honored to contribute to the important work Easterseals does across the state.
